What Every Woman Needs

In my opinion there are three material things every woman should posses, see if you agree:
1) She needs a best friend. A woman needs that person she can got to in times of trouble. Someone to celebrate with. And someone who clicks with them and maybe someone they can even call their twin.
2) A journal. Females base things on feelings and emotions but not all of them are ones they want to share.  We need to express how we feel but they are not always things we are comfortable letting others know about.  To write in a journal is a calm and satisfying way to do this.
3) A go to movie or television show.  Books are a tremendous way to immerse yourself in another world however sometimes your world can be so turned around that the only thing you can do is stare.  You just want to get away and you know that that movie or show always makes you feel better.
There you have it ladies! Three MUSTS for a woman. Comment and tell me if you agree. i would love to hear your thoughts.
Have A Splendid Day!

Nail-ed It!

I love to paint my nails. I just wish I could do it without getting polish everywhere or paying an exorbitant amount money to have someone else paint them. I went on youtube and watched several women paint their own nails. Lots still got paint everywhere but one didn't. Come to find out she is a cosmetologist. Now that's credibility. Her tips really help, sorry I don't have any pictures.
1) Paint only part of the nail. Leave visible nail on both sides of the nail.
2) Make short slow small strokes.
3) Start at the cuticle but do NOT paint the cuticle or the line right above it.
4)Apply top coat on ALL of the nail. it will protect the polish.
5) Don't be afraid of the polish. Paint thick and little.
Do all these and your nails should be salon perfect! Mine were. Hope this helps.

Nail Polish and Glue

A lot of people like to do their own nails instead of paying ridiculous prices at a salon. Personally I prefer painting my own nails but if you are like me you are a tad sloppy when it comes to painting the sides. I saw on Pinterest an idea about painting Elmers' glue around your fingers before beginning to paint them. As you are painting your nails the glue dries and once the polish and the glue are both dry you simply peel off the glue and what's left? What's left is only the perfect nails.

With the times nowadays most people have Apple products: ipones, ipads, macs...etc. They are wonderful products but...their charging cords all look the same. It is very hard to know which one is yours. In my family we are swarmed with similar cords so I decided to write my name on mine. It worked well for awhile then over time (not long either) it came off. I had to do something. I looked on Pinterest and saw that my old boss had pinned something ingenious, nail polish! Perfect! I took a nail file, some glow-in-the-dark polish, and my charger. I filed off the smoothness of the charger so that the polish would stick to it. Once it all dried, viola! One sparkly charger, a one of a kind.

Inspired by Wobisobi

On Pinterst lots of us have seen this lady's fun DIY clothes. Today I decided to try it out for myself. Abby made one style and I tried another.
Abby did this style with her own personal twist.

Looking cute!

To start you measure where your waist is and then snip strips from the bottom and tie them when you'e done.

I made a Peek-A-Boo top which was a bit difficult because Wobisobi's instructions lacked ALOT of significant information. There were no measurements  no space indicators and I had to figure out on my own how to make the sleeves even. You need to fold the shirt in half and cut them together to avoid uneven shoulders. Also you are cutting wear sewn seems used to be so it will fray and leave them looking edgy.
This is the finished front!
All in all Wobisobi's ideas were wonderful and fun to try but she left out major information that was critical in order to complete these projects.

Cookie in a Cup

Looks amazing right? It was. This is a recipe I pinned awhile ago and wanted to try in a dairy free way. I did! Today Abby came over and we made one cookie for each of us. We followed the directions and then microwaved the mixture in two bowls. My only critique would be once to cook the top fro a minute, flip it over and cook for another minute on that side.

Here are all the ingredients you will need.
Recipe: 1 tsp butter, 1tbsp white sugar and brown sugar, 3 drops of vanilla, a pinch of salt, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of flour, and 2 tsp of chocolate chips.
Microwave one minute. Enjoy!

Abby enjoyed hers!

Welcome!

I am so glad that you have decided to check out my blog! This will be quite an adventure for me and you. So what is this all about you ask? Well, I have been talking with my friends about all the things people pin on Pinterst, DIYs, recipes, tips and tricks, etc. We all pin it but do any of us try it? Probably not. Most of us don't have the time. That's what I am here for. I will try different things and post my experience for all to read. You are can help me to, post things you want to see. I hope you enjoy this site.
Come check it out!
